Owner guides

Sources, scope, and privacy

Use the guide as a map, not a decision.

Reviewed September 25, 2026. Sources and requirements can change. Verify time-sensitive information with the responsible agency, insurer, qualified professional, or lawyer.

What this hub does

  • Provides general U.S. education for homeowners and renters.
  • Organizes safety questions, property work, records, estimates, payments, and repair decisions.
  • Offers editorial checklists and neutral question formats. An insurer or professional may request different records.
  • Labels state-specific material. One state's rules and deadlines are not nationwide requirements.

What it does not do

  • Inspect a property, diagnose safety, determine causation, or prescribe remediation.
  • Interpret your policy, decide coverage, calculate an actual claim, judge a settlement, or give legal advice.
  • Replace official instructions or qualified local professionals.
  • Accept claim documents, photos, estimates, payment information, or account details on these education pages.

Privacy

The interactive checklist marks and estimate lesson inputs stay in your browser. They are not sent to Property Loss Pro. Do not enter or attach private claim documents on this education hub. Standard hosting may process technical access information. External sources have their own privacy practices.
